Is Lipo 360 with Jplasma is sufficient to tighten and smooth my back, or so I really truly need a back tuck? (photos)

you can get significant improvement with back liposuction + j plasma even though you truly need a back lift based on the photos. so this should be discussed. go to someone who does this often.

my whole practice is doing lipoabdominoplasty, or at least liposuction with internal heating (which is not the gold standard for skin tightening with body contouring).

the smaller you are before liposuction the more contouring you can get from the procedure. most of my liposuction patients get pre and post surgical optimization with hormonal therapy (see link to help boost their weight loss before surgery and help them heal after).

You need a formal evaluation by an expert in body shaping and contouring to determine what is best.  Traditional liposuction awake and smart liposuction are old methods and do very poorly for tightening skin or significant skin tightening or contouring.  Small problem areas can be improved slightly by these methods.  The best in body contouring not only removes fat with energy devices like VASER ultrasound but also internally heat the skin with radio-frequency devices such as J PLASMA/RENUVION, InMode BodyTite, ThermiRF to heat the under surface of the skin and tighten it at the same time as fat removal. These combinations are called 4D HIDEF VASER contouring and can only be done by a well . trained body contouring specialist. At the same time fat should be harvested, PRP and stem cells added and injected into muscles or indentations/cellulite to get body shaping and contouring.  This is known as a Brazilian butt lift when you inject the fat to the buttock for contouring and lifting, but fat can also be used in areas such as the chest/breast, arms/shoulders, calves and face.  Cellulite should also be treated with cellfina, sculptra, subcision and/or fillers such as bellafill, renuva synthetic fat, or sculptra.  If skin is very loose before surgery then it will need to be removed such as lower abdominal skin (tummy tuck/abdominoplasty), breast skin (breast lift), arm skin (brachioplasty).  Overall you need a full assessment, but simple liposuction alone will not tighten skin and needs a combination of various methods -- fat removal, skin tightening, defining, fat grafting, skin removal -- to get the best in body contouring and body sculpting.  Dr. Emer.

Unfortunately, in your photographs your arms are elevated, which makes the arm back skin tighter. Even with the arms elevated there are wrinkles and folds of excess skin. I would recommend liposuction first with the understanding that if the skin hangs that you will need a posterior lift. This would be a continuation of your previous tummy tuck done low and posteriorly. This may solve your problem.

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based your photos, it looks like you would benefit from a liposuction. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Thank you for your question and photo. Lipo 360 refers to liposuction of your torso all the way around. There's no such thing as "lipo 360" of the back. It looks like you already had liposuction of your back based on the symmetrical darkened poke hole scars of the mid back and upper buttock. You do have lots of fat on your whole back and would benefit from VASER lipo (in my hands the best technique to treat previously scarred areas from liposuction) and Renuvion or J-Plasma for skin tightening. A back tuck will leave you with unsightly scars and you have too much fat to get a good result from a back lift.
See a board certified plastic surgeon experienced in advanced body sculpting techniques for an in person consultation/evaluation. Good luck.

Aggressive liposuction with the micro canulas can really tighten up the skin a lot especially if you use bodytite rf with the lipo under local. Jplasma is too risky for scarring. I don't think you need a back tuck.

Your picture is a bit insufficient. I suggest posting a picture including your full torso all the way to the buttocks with your arms in a down position.

My Personal first-hand experience with J plasma was that it really didn’t deliver any significant skin tightening at all.

It looks like you’ve already had liposuction on your back based on the scores.

Continuing the tummy tuck and extending it to the backside for a 360 wraparound tummy tuck or body lift will help the lowest of the skin folds. If you find a surgeon willing to undermine the skin on your sides and back the more skin can be recruited and more of the skin folds will be corrected.

Tummy tuck only hurt because of muscle tightening and this is not part of treating the back.

Continuing to do the backside of a wraparound tummy tuck is probably less painful than having liposuction.

What makes the tummy tuck hurt is the muscle tightening on the front. That part makes A full tummy tuck is the most painful cosmetic procedure to recover from. Treating the backside with further skin tightening should not be that difficult to recover from.

If you’re up for J plasma then you should ask providers to show you it before and after pictures. Most of the change you’ll see came from Liposuction and not the J plasma.

Also when viewing the back make absolutely sure the arms are exactly in the same position in the before and after pictures. Arm position drastically changes how the back looks.
