Could inner thigh lipo give me a thigh gap?

Question

I'm very much pear shaped and no matter what I do my thighs hold so much weight. I'm fine with my outer thighs being curvy and would t want them touched, but can my inner thighs be liposuctioned? Can I get a thigh gap with inner thigh lipo? Also, what is the benefit of smartlipo vs regular lipo?

The short answer answer to your question is, MAYBE.

From your pictures, it looks as though you have minimal fat on your inner thighs, and therefore I doubt seriously that liposuction of any kind would give you a thigh gap.

The one surgery that insures a thigh gap is a medial thigh tuck, but your certainly don't have enough fat or loose skin to need or want a medial thigh tuck.

Liposuction of the inner thigh is good at taking away bulging fat, but liposuction of the inner thigh leading to a thigh gap depends on whether the patient had a pre-existing gap which was just uncovered by the liposuction and not created by it.

Obviously, at this point, an in person evaluation by a Board Certified plastic surgeon will help you answer the question.

Thank-you for your question. Inner thigh liposuction can improve the contour of the thighs and result in some gap between the thighs. One  of the reasons for lack of  inner thighs gap can be your bony structure in addition to fat. This can be determined by a physical exam.

you can do liposuction with heating and get some improvement you will get best result with spiral thigh lift, hidden scar thigh/buttock lift + liposuction and heating (see link). start peptide and hormonal optimization now (consult dr jill stocker)

my whole practice is doing lipoabdominoplasty, or at least liposuction with internal heating (which is not the gold standard for skin tightening with body contouring).

the smaller you are before liposuction the more contouring you can get from the procedure. most of my liposuction patients get pre and post surgical optimization with hormonal therapy (see link to help boost their weight loss before surgery and help them heal after).

You need a formal evaluation by an expert in body shaping and contouring to determine what is best.  Traditional liposuction awake and smart liposuction are old methods and do very poorly for tightening skin or significant skin tightening or contouring.  Small problem areas can be improved slightly by these methods.  The best in body contouring not only removes fat with energy devices like VASER ultrasound but also internally heat the skin with radio-frequency devices such as J PLASMA/RENUVION, InMode BodyTite, ThermiRF to heat the under surface of the skin and tighten it at the same time as fat removal. These combinations are called 4D HIDEF VASER contouring and can only be done by a well . trained body contouring specialist. At the same time fat should be harvested, PRP and stem cells added and injected into muscles or indentations/cellulite to get body shaping and contouring.  This is known as a Brazilian butt lift when you inject the fat to the buttock for contouring and lifting, but fat can also be used in areas such as the chest/breast, arms/shoulders, calves and face.  Cellulite should also be treated with cellfina, sculptra, subcision and/or fillers such as bellafill, renuva synthetic fat, or sculptra.  If skin is very loose before surgery then it will need to be removed such as lower abdominal skin (tummy tuck/abdominoplasty), breast skin (breast lift), arm skin (brachioplasty).  Overall you need a full assessment, but simple liposuction alone will not tighten skin and needs a combination of various methods -- fat removal, skin tightening, defining, fat grafting, skin removal -- to get the best in body contouring and body sculpting.  Dr. Emer.

yes , you would do great with a little tum. local liposuction on the inner thigh all the way down to the knees for the best look.  Get Bodytite RF at the same time to tighten up the skin nicely and you will be so happy.

Inner thighs can be liposuctioned to enhance the thigh gap in that area. Smart lipo is regular liposuction followed by a laser to help tighten the skin. If you are still young and you have good skin elasticity, you may not need to undergo the additional smart lipo treatment to get the same results. Hope this helps!

Some improvements can be had with high-quality inner thigh liposuction but generally this an atomic area under Deliver’s in regards to what patients had anticipated on a fairly consistent basis.

Young women with tight skin have the best chance of getting the best improvements. Those with skin laxity rarely give results that justify having the procedure.

The procedure is somewhat known for uneven contours especially developing an indentation in the mid inner thigh if not done by someone with sufficient skill and experience.

Unfortunately it’s difficult to appreciate the results from this procedure in before and after pictures.

Often when looking at the picture the eye is drawn to looking at the left compared to the right rather than the before compared to the after. What people end up looking for is the space between the legs and that is easily manipulated by having the person stand with a different foot stance in the after pictures.

I do inner thigh liposuction on a fairly regular basis. I do so after setting very honest and realistic expectations during in person consultations and I am highly selective on who I’m willing to do this procedure for.

I suggest you to be highly selective and do so they have a multiple in person consultations with local board-certified plastic surgeons in your area.

So go on some complimentary consultations with experts and compare recommendations after a full examination and look at photos of similar patients and become fully informed about the desired procedure. That said it is not the type of liposuction performed but the skill of the surgeon that will give you the desired result
