I am 23 (soon to be 24 this month) 6'0" 307lbs (BMI42) So far, dieting and excerise doesn't seem to work for me and I've honestly thought of lipo. Would that be a good choice or would a different diet and excerise be a better choice?
Answer: Weight loss, bariatric surgery, peptide/hormonal optimization, VASER 360HD lipo you can do "debulking" liposuction but you wil need weight loss. likely bariatric surgery and hormonal optimization (see link) to speed up your metabolism. I suggest consulting. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: I am 23 (soon to be 24 this month) 6'0" 307lbs (BMI42) So far, dieting and excerise doesn't seem to work for me Recommend consulting with your PCP to discuss a diet and exercise plan that would work for you. A BMI of 42 can increase the risks of complications during and after surgery and lead to less than optimal results from the aesthetic procedures.

Answer: Liposuction as a beginning point I may recommend several things to you. First of all, as far as dieting, you need to begin a low fat diet. Second, in terms of exercise, I recommend you begin core exercises such as sit-ups, planks and pilates to increase your abdominal tone. I also recommend you see a weight loss physician board certified in bariatric surgery. You can also consider wearing an abdominal binder to help increase abdominal wall pressure resulting in early satiety and help maintain a reduced weight. After these, you can consider liposuction as a beginning point. In Texas, we can safely remove 10 lbs in one session of liposuction. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Weight loss Dear RockStar457, liposuction is not a weight loss procedure. Generally speaking, you want to reach your goal weight before you consider a surgery, otherwise your results will be suboptimal if you continue to lose weight after the surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Should I consider lipo or a new diet and excerise? With BMI over 40 - it is best to consider a lifestyle change - or consider a bariatric surgery. Liposuction is not a weight loss operation. Once you arrive at the ideal weight - then it's a good idea to consult re/ Body Contouring procedures
