I used to have severe gynecomastia that drooped really low and stretched out my aereolas extremely. I had surgery in 2013 in Tijuana, but I still have what feels like tissue that is causing my chest to droop and the aereola is still too big and doesnt look pleasing. I've saved up money again and am looking for a surgeon in San Diego or Tijuana to help me fix this finally. Not sure what the best procedure would be to fix my chest, looking for some guidance, I really don't want to mess up again.
Answer: Revision gynecomastia surgery It looks like you had decent removal of the excess tissue but now have skin laxity as a result. This is readily improvable and you should be able to keep the required scar around the areola which will make it less noticeable. Make sure you consult with someone who does enough gynecomastia procedures and you should do well.

Answer: Best way to fix my chest? I had bad gyno surgery. I am sorry to hear about your concerns after previous surgery to correct gynecomastia. I think that you have a good understanding: additional surgery to remove redundant skin and decrease areola size will likely be beneficial. The downside with this procedure will be the presence of a scar all around the areola. My best advice: seek consultation with board-certified plastic surgeons who can demonstrate lots of experience helping patients with this type of surgery. Best wishes.

Answer: Gynecomastia revision surgery Dear tijuanamorne,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination but your problem can be solved with a revision surgery. You can get areola reduction and removal of excess skin. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery

Answer: Best way to fix my chest? I had bad gyno surgery. Can I reduce areolas more and remove more tissue? Thank you for sharing your question and photographs and I am sorry that your results were not what you anticipated after your first gynecomastia procedure. I see your areas of concern and think that you can improve your results by having a type of lift procedure to reduce your areola and remove the excess skin. This can either be accomplished with a purse-string reduction or with a more skin excision with a breast lift, but only an in-person examination can determine this. Hope this helps.

Answer: Can I get my #gynecomastia surgery result improved? Gynecomastia surgery is challenging - getting the right amount of tissue out and not leaving excess behind but also not leaving depressed areolas or other phenomena is tricky. Revisions are common and usually of a relatively minor nature when compared to the original surgery. From your photos, it looks like you have residual excess skin from where your ptotic (sagging) breasts previously were hanging more. The skin did not fully retract. The areolas can be reduced through a variation of the periareolar mastopexy (donut lift), though depending on the measurements between the nipples and the folds, a free nipple graft is sometimes used. You may need skin removal along a curved "smiley" horizontal line at the edge of the chest border with the upper abdomen in order to remove the loose skin and improve the appearance of the chest bulk as well. Go on some consults with board-certified plastic surgeons who can examine you in the office to assess the right incision approach to improve the result. You may even be a candidate for the revision under local anesthesia depending on the physical findings, and if so, that would save you some money.
