Hi Docs. I am 1 month 6 days post-op...had alot of gland and fat removed from chest area. Wore the compression vest for 4 weeks, and then my doctor told me I could take it off. He removed the sutures and did a check up. Before the op he told me he removes all the gland, so I already knew this :) My questions are: 1. will my nipples improve when the internal scar tissue subsides? 2. will my left nipple even out, as it looks like it has been "halfed"?

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs.  Unfortunately without feeling your tissues it is difficult to offer definite advice but at 5 weeks after surgery you likely still have tissue swelling that is masking your long-term results.  I would discuss with your surgeon the possibility of starting massages to your tissues to help resolve residual swelling as well as to help break up any scar tissue formation.  After 3-4 months you should have a more realistic view of your nipple and chest appearance to know if any additional treatment may be needed to refine your results.  Hope this helps.

It looks like you have had some uneven correction of your gynecomastia. It is still early so hopefully it will smooth out over time. Speak with your surgeon about massage and follow his / her instructions.

At one month post surgery, there is some healing that will take place. The final result of the procedure will become apparent only then. Ask your surgeon if he suggests massages.
