Please HELP! Is what I have a crater deformity or just loose skin? 2 months post gynecomastia. (photos)

Hello thanks for sharing your pictures. it is too early to comment on the results. There seems to scar tissue which is causing the deformity you can perform deep scar massage. Also working your lower chest muscle will help tighten the skin. Kindly meet your operating surgeon.

It does not look like a classic crater deformity which is more of a bowl type of deformity. It looks to me like you have scar retraction where the scar is stuck up beneath the nipple area and not allowing the skin to come downward. If this is the case it might improve with deep tissue massage. Check in again with your surgeon.

Post gynecomastia surgery, at times, the areolar region can be loose and form a dimple or 'pucker'. This can be due to a few reasons such as; excess skin, scar tissue or a crater deformity.
How does one differentiate between them?
The cause can be assessed only after healing is complete. The physician will check if there is scarring, enough glandular tissue under the areola etcetera to determine their diagnosis.
Which physician should the patient visit?
It is recommended to get this checked by the same surgeon who operated on the patient initially, before a second consult as the primary surgeon knows their patient and technique best.
How is it treated?
The treatment protocol in this case would be lipid injections via fat grafting. It will help the areolar region regain some of it's shape and form to make it look fuller.

It could be puckering , it could be a result of loose skin, it could be a bit from swelling. Massage may help and you need to give it more time for the swelling to subside.
