Age 68, good health, will the neck lift affect my perioral area at all? (Photo)

I am 68, good health, prior face and neck lift 28 years ago. My neck shows my age much more than my face. I’m just wondering if in doing the neck lift, is any skin affected in my lower face?

In general terms the neck lift does tend to improve somewhat the jawline contour but depending on how it is done it can avoid changing significantly the area above the jawline.

A photograph of the face relaxed rather than smiling can help to understand better the characteristics of the skin and whether tensioning the jawline on its own could produce problems with the appearance of the cheek.

Standard photos with hair pulled back (front, oblique, side view chin neutral, side view chin down) are needed to give you an accurate assessment. Generally speaking, in order to perform a modern neck lift, you will need at least a lower facelift to ensure a harmonious transition across the jaw line.

A lower face and neck lift will address the muscle cords in your neck, tightening loose facial and neck skin, tightening loose facial and neck muscles, along with lifting the jowls, and removing any fat deposits in the neck. The Peri-oral area needs to be addressed with laser resurfacing or dermabrasion.
