What can I do to improve my neck lift results? 1 year post op (photo)

The superficial anatomy of the neck consists of the platysma and subcutaneous fat. To get an optimal cervicomental angle and a nice neck line you need to be assessed for those deep structures. Unfortunately, if you have excess ski this may involve incisions to reframe that skin.

hi, can you show pictures of what it looked like before surgery ? did you have incisions under the chin and around the ears? it looks like you need a full neck lift, as there is plenty of skin excess that needs to be removed. You would benefit from a traditional lift with pulls from the sides. But in addition, you seem to have residual bulk centrally. I assume you had a platysmaplasty which everyone else is referring to. In addition, I would recommend exploring the area under the platysma to look for subplatysmal fat, prominent digastric muscle, and enlarged submandibular glands. Submandibular gland reduction can be done, but it's usually not part of the routine face or neck lift, and gland reduction carries some additional risks that your surgeon can detail. Plus, not everyone is comfortable with this gland reduction surgery, so you might have to look around.

Considering your current result, you look like someone who would benefit from a more agressive neck lift. It should be done through incisions behind the ears and underneath the neck, to shape the fat, tighten platysma muscle and create better neck angle. Small chin implant may be considered in that case.
