I will be finished taking accutane in June and would like to start receiving botox and jeuvaderm asap . when is a safe time after to start again
Answer: Timing for injectable fillers after Accutane is controversial. There is controversy whether Accutane (isotretinoin) is associated with poor wound healing and thickened scars after surgery. My suspicion is that there may not be a negative association. Botox may be considered anytime on Accutane. Fillers may be injected 6 months after cessation of Accutane, or possibly sooner, depending on the experience and opinion of your surgeon. Great question! Dr Joseph

Answer: How long after Accutane to get Botox or fillers There are no guidelines on when to inject Botox or fillers ("cosmetic injectables") as they relate to Accutane(isotretinoin). Most physicians would say there is no problem in getting these injections while on the medication. If you wanted to be extra cautious, I'd say waiting 1 month after your last pill would be reasonable for getting your treatment. Best to speak with a highly trained and experienced physician injector such as a dermatologist about the best & safest treatment options for you.
