ThermiTight before or after lipo, for skin tightening?

Question

I am planning a liposuction (tumescent lipo, abdomen and flanks). I know I will have some problem with laxity but it’s not THAT bad so don’t wanna go for Abdominoplasty. ThermiTight seems promising. Should I do it before of after lipo?

Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in.

These two treatments can be performed at the same time, allowing you to enjoy full results with a single appointment. If you choose to do them separately, it is best to do liposuction first, followed by your ThermiTight session. This ensures skin tightening once the body contour is slimmer. It is also possible that the liposuction treatment will produce sufficient tightening without the additional treatment if you still have plenty of skin elasticity. Make sure you are working with a board-certified physician with expertise in this type of body contouring.

Thank you for your question. ThermiTight and liposuction can be performed in the same procedure. If you prefer to do them separately, ThermiTight should come after liposuction to ensure the skin conforms smoothly over the new body contour. Oftentimes the skin shrinkage from tumescent liposuction is impressive due to the small microcannula size. Make sure the doctor you work with is board-certified with extensive experience and training in this body contouring procedure to ensure an optimal outcome and help decide whether liposuction or liposuction with ThermiTight will be needed.

I mostly do the neck and always combine the thermitight with liposuction and it gives the best result. No need to make it two procedures. Also some physicians can use thermitight alone to melt the fat and also tighten the skin. RegardsDr. J

Dear Kenia97602,Both liposuction and ThermiTight require a tumescent infiltration of anesthetic. That fluid will dissipate the heat needed along the underside of the skin for the ThermiTight to be efficient. I recommend you proceed with liposuction first as it will remove the fat and fluid excess, and then the ThermiTight immediately thereafter. All the best!

It's best you get thermitight done just after your liposuction. Rather than getting it done before your lipo suction treatment.

Thermitight can help with creapiness to the skin and can be performed at the same time as liposuction , no need to go through 2 treatments . I have been performing thermitight since 2015, but also perform Renuvion ( j plasma ) which works much better for tightening. Renuvion  is typically performed simultaneously with liposuction
