Is there a way to surgically remove stretch marks from the pubis?

Question

I have large (1-2 cm wide) stretch marks in the pubic area, relics of my first pregnancy 24 years ago. I have stretch marks in other areas as well, but as they are not painful I am not bothered by them. These, however, are painful to the touch and have been so to varying degrees and I would like to be rid of them if possible. I am aware that abdominoplasty removes stretch marks between the umbilicus and the pubis, but is there anything that can be done for stretch marks below the pubic bone?

The precise location would be helpful as would be determined by pictures or an exam.  The stretchmarks may very well be conducive to surgical excision. Find
 a plastic surgeon who performs hundreds of tummy tucks each year, has great reviews, and has great before and after

Keep in mind that
following advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposes to
tell you what to do without seeing photos and without examining you,
physically feeling your tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full
medical history and discussing the pros and cons of each operative procedure
would not be in your best surgery. I would suggest that you find a surgeon
certified by the American Board of American Plastic Surgery and one who is
ideally a member of The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS)
that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with

Maybe, but it may not be a good idea for you.  Of course, it is difficult to discuss this without seeing a photo but, in general, any area of tissue can be "cut out," which is basically "removing" it.  That will, however, leave you with a scar and then the question becomes whether or not that scar is a good "trade" for the stretch marks you have.  An elevation of the mons pubis can and often is performed in association with a tummy tuck, so that may the best approach for you.  You should consult in-person with a board-certified plastic surgeon for a complete discussion of the options.I hope that this helps and good luck,Dr. E

It's quite easy to remoove those stretch marks, but it does take surgery. Get a consultation and exam and the surgeon can easily show you how the process works.

There is no medical treatment that will remove or improve stretch marks. The stretch marks would have to be surgically removed. Excision would leave a scar, similar to a tummy tuck scar but lower. A consultation would give you much more detailed information concerning your specific situation.
