Question

i have no neck at all, its like an inch and half long, and it bothers me. what makes it worse is that i have very round face, with no visible bone structure. my face is like a circle with very flat cheeks so it looks like i have no cheekbones, is there a solution to my problem?

It's best to begin by consulting with a surgeon in-person to discuss your options. The presence of banding down the front of the #neck, and, amount of excess skin and condition of your skin are among some factors which determine what treatments will best rejuvenate your neck . During your initial examination, your chin will be evaluated along with the neck and jawline. A weak #chin implies a lack of chin support for the skin along the neck line. In younger individuals a chin implant alone is usually all that is needed to improve the appearance of the neck. Subsequently, it will also improve the overall #balance of the face and can create the illusion of a smaller nose. As a stand-alone procedure, chin augmentation can be performed in the office under local #anesthesia. Thank you for sharing. It is difficult to give you specifics without any images to evaluate, but I will try share what I can about what you are describing. As for your neck, there are many factors that can contribute to the appearance of a short neck. 

	These are the most common culprits:

	1) weak jaw (mandible) projection

	2) low position of the bony neck structure (hyoid bone) protecting your windpipe 

	3) excess weight & muscle bands that blunt the neck contours from the mandible to the collar bones (clavicles)

	 

	As for the lack of cheek structure, each intervention must be tailored to your specific needs. Sometimes soft tissue augmentation is required with filler or fat transfer. On the other hand, bony augmentation with an implant can improve the malar, submalar, tear trough, and chin areas if this is where you are deficient.

	There are many options available to you to help improve the appearance of your neck and to provide more structure to your face.

	These options range from non-surgical techniques (botox injections to improve facial structure, fillers to improve facial volume, fat injections to do both) to surgical options (liposuction to help define your neck, necklift to "lengthen" your neck, midface lift to improve cheek appearances.).

Pictures would be very helpful. Occasionally, people have retrusive chins, a low hyoid bone (a small bone in the neck that anchors many of the smaller muscles in the neck and tongue base), and excess fat under the chin. This can create the appearance of having very un-defined neck and jaw line. Options for this condition include lipo-contouring of the neck, neck lift, chin implant, and facelift. Consult with an experienced facial plastic surgeon who can design the most effective treatment plan to meet your needs.

There is no way to make your neck longer. You can wear hair styles that make the neck seem longer. Some shirts and ties may seem to lengthen your neck. If you have fat on neck or under chin or along your jaw line, liposuction or a necklift may help your neck seem longer. Liposuction of cheeks may also give the impression of a longer face-neck.
