Petite -- am I a candidate for saddlebag liposuction? (Photo)

Question

I'm 45, 5'2" and 100 lbs. I exercise and eat reasonably well, but I've had these little pockets of fat all my life (and the cellulite too). The left side is worse than the right. What is the best way to get rid of them? If only squats would work!

Based on your photos, you are in a very good shape with very minimal fat excess.
Liposuction of saddle bag area can be performed to create a more smooth outer thigh contour.

Thanks for your question. You seem to have a lean figure, not too much fat stored. But what possibly can be done is to do Vaser Liposuction for a defined abdomen. And the fat can be used to get rid of the cellulite. It won't give you a volume but can smooth it out. Having a consultation with a Board Certified Surgeon is advised.

You are an excellent candidate for liposuction. You are a good BMI and good skin tone. Liposuction was originally developed for saddlebags, and many authorities feel the fat is different than other locations and thus resistant to weight loss. Contrary to belief, liposuction is not for weight loss but for bulges.

Since you mentioned you are 45, ask your doctor about fat grafting. The fat could be used instead of filler for facial improvement, if desired.

You look great now, but I can see where this area might bother you.  It is very difficult to selectively lose fat from a particular area.  Liposuction of your saddle bag areas would be a quick, mildly tender procedure with minimal scars or fees.

The small pockets you have present at your saddlebags normally respond well to liposuction.  As well, the skin in the saddlebag area normally bounces back very nicely. 
Liposuction can target pockets of fat that are not responding to exercise, however it is not a treatment for cellulite.
