Would liposuction be a good choice for me?

I'm 20 years old, 114lbs and 5'2. My lower abdomen fat has always been resistant to any, body sculpting sport. That is my main problem area but I would also like to get more smaller waist and slimmer abdomen overall. Would liposuction be a good choice for me or a different procedure?

An aesthetically pleasing abdomen is something many of us desire. While proper nutrition, exercise, and weight control are very important, sometimes we cannot achieve our goals with those components alone. Simply getting older, as well as pregnancy can play a role in the appearance of our abdomen. If you desire the most dramatic improvement, then a full tummy tuck may address your concerns. A tummy tuck removes excess fat and skin while tightens muscles. However, from examining your photos you could benefit from liposuction alone, greatly. I would make an appointment with a plastic surgeon to get a proper examination!

I would recommend that you see a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area that is a member of both ASPS & ASAPS and performs a lot of tummy tucks and body contouring. Good luck with your future surgery!

YES! You are a perfect candidate for liposuction of the abdomen. I would recommend 360 Liposuction, this will give you a smaller abdomen and smaller waistline, plus a better overall shape.

360 Liposuction includes abdomen, back, flanks and waist lipo. Other areas can be added if needed. A BBL can also be performed by injecting the harvested fat from lipo, into the butt and surrounding areas. A BBL is used to enhance the size and shape of the butt and hips but can also be done to improve  shape and/or irregularities only….. without a noticeable augmentation of the butt. This would be up to you.

It is hard to see in this photo, but I think you have small hip dips on the upper lateral part of you hips. These can be filled out with a BBL.

You need a formal evaluation by an expert in body shaping and contouring to determine what is best. The best in body contouring not only removes fat with energy devices like VASER ultrasound but also internally heats the skin with radiofrequency devices such as Renuvion (J-Plasma), InMode BodyTite, and ThermiRF to heat the undersurface of the skin and tighten it at the same time as fat removal. These combinations are called 4D HI-DEF VASER Liposuction and can only be done by a well-trained body contouring specialist. At the same time, fat should be harvested and purified, with PRP and stem cells added, and then injected into muscles, indentations and cellulite to get body shaping and contouring.

You are a great candidate for anterior abdominal liposuction (I would consider both the top and bottom as emptying out only the lower abdomen will make the upper look larger).  To reduce your sides and make better curves, add liposuction of the flanks and lower back (Lipo 360).

Based on your pictures and statistics you appear to be the quintessential ideal Liposuction candidate.

Patients who get the best liposuction results are typically young women, with tight skin, no previous pregnancies who have slightly excessive amounts of subcutaneous tissue in undesirable places.

I sometimes refer to this as the triad of being young, tight and pudgy.

It’s not meant to be derogatory in any way.

Liposuction results vary immensely purely based on who does the procedure. Being board-certified is plastic surgery is a good start but it’s insufficient to have mastered body contouring.

Look for providers who have done thousands of liposuction cases and have a stack of before and after pictures that read like a telephone book.

In the hands of a skilled  provider you should have a stellar outcome.
