Neck liposuction fibrosis - will Ultrasound Therapy help? (photo)

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

I doubt ultrasound therapy will be of much help, but it could be tried. Massage may be your best bet.

When liposuction is done in the more aggressive manner typically to deliver more impressive results the natural layer of fat is almost completely removed and and its place scar tissue forms. Scar tissue will contract and this is the sensation you are feeling.

Typically with time things that stretch out and patience get a custom to the change as being normal with enough time as long as they accept the change. Surgery permanently change is your body and sometimes it feels different afterwards.

It’s a little hard to judge your results with your neck stretched out but at least the liposuction was done in a nice even fashion.

There are no external treatments that are going to replace the fat that was removed or diminish the scar tissue that has already formed.

I suggest focusing on accepting the outcome for what it is and go on with life.

Avoid any treatment that can potentially reduce the smaller remaining amount of fat you have in your neck.

Hi and welcome to our forum!From your photo, I note a localized vertical band of tissue overlying the left sternocleidomastoid muscle of your neck, the nature of which is unknown in a single photograph. It may represent photographic artifact...or could be a thrombosed vein (?). A physical examination is required.You require a visit to your plastic surgeon to evaluate this area. If the phenomenon represents fibrosis, ultrasound therapy may be of value.Best wishes...
