My PS said they didn’t use drains- is that common? I am getting 205cc silicone cohesive gel implants (inspira/naturelle). I have had 2 c- sections, Laparoscopy for Endometriosis, and rhinoplasty/genioplasty in my past with no problems... so, why do some people use drains and others don’t?

Answer: Drains not routine after breast augmentation Some plastic surgeons use drains with textured implants in order to help prevent rotation, but I would use them only when a lift is being done at the same time. Assuming your implants are smooth round, not textured cohesive shaped, it is more likely a preference of your plastic surgeon.

Answer: Who uses drains during a breast augmentation? Truthfully - at least around me - most people who place drains during a breast augmentation have retired by now. Not very many people place a drain after a straightforward breast augmentation. So, my answer would be, definitely NO DRAIN! Best of luck.
