There is no reason why you shouldn't be able to take those medications after a facelift. If not sure, it's always best to speak to your surgeon's office rather than online
Assuming you had a normal recovery period, it is perfectly safe to take allergy medication. Typically after a facelift it is important to watch what you ingest for the first two weeks postoperatively. After two weeks it is typically safe to resume all medications, OTC meds, and even blood thinners (assuming you had a typical recovery).
In most cases, one can resume most medications a few days following surgery. By four weeks, healing is well on its way to being established and strong. Antihistamines should not play a significant role in the time it takes to heal if initiated at this point.
Thank you for your question.I would definitively say to check with your plastic surgeon or his/her nurse. That being said, I do not see any issues at this point 4 weeks post facelift.Best regards.
Thank you for the question. Yes, singulair and antihistamines are fine. These do not cause any significant increase in hematoma risk. However, you should review all medications with your surgeon. Take care!
No problem taking Singulair or antihistamines that are part of your regular regimen for treating allergies after a #SMASFacelift.
I would not see any problem with taking antihistamines or Singulair 4 weeks after a facelift, but I do think it is best to check with your particular surgeon since he or she has the most knowledge about you and your procedure.
There should be no issues taking these medications this far after your facelift surgery. In fact, we often have our patients take Benadryl after facelift with laser of they have any itching. That being said, it is always wise to ask the surgeon who performed your surgery first.
It should be OK to take these medications 2 months after facelift surgery. Just in case, Always try to call first your surgeon to see if it is Ok to take them, but I regularly do not take my patients off their allergy medications.
Yes, anti-histamines or Singulair which Is an anti leukotriene should be no problem after just about any surgery.Good luck!
Thank you for your question. MACS stands for minimal-access surgery, which I call a mini facelift or awake facelift in my practice because it is usually performed with local anesthesia rather than general. Incisions are smaller with this technique, so recovery and scarring are both reduced....
Thank for your question.Any skin healing involves new blood vessel forming so that nutrients, proteins, oxygen, etc. can be brought in for repair (healing). The new blood vessel formation is called "neovascularization". It does tend to disappear over time. That being said, it can be...
Thank you for asking about your face lift.Final healing after a face lift varies from 6 - 18 months.Tissues soften and become more natural in appearance and feel over that time.Scars improve a lot over this time. However improvement in anatomy, such as bands, will not improve. Always see a...
