Im 36 years old and very unhappy with the way my lower face has aged; what feels like prematurely. I want to remove the lines around my mouth as best as possible; as well as give my lower face some lift. I told myself I would wait until I was 40 to have a facelift of any kind; but now Im wondering if I can wait that long or if it would be better to act preventatively. Is microneedling (not rf- dont think I can afford to lose any volume) enough to hold me over for a few years and treat the lines effectively? Is it better to act preventatively and fer a facelift sooner rather than later? How many facelifts can one hsve in a lifetime? I dont want to use fillers- what are the best options for me to achieve my goals ?
I had a SMAS facelift with fat transfer 08/2024. I now have pronounced creases that extend from the corners of my mouth when I smile. Can this be fixed? How can it be fixed? Surgical MD suggested nanofat transfer to the areas to fill in the creases.
Hello, I had a smas & neck lift in December 2021. Initally I was very happy with the results as I had a really bad turkey neck . About three months in I started to see a small amount of skin hanging and one side of my jawline seems quite swelled still and looks like a jowl. Over the last 6 months the skin is getting very loose again and I think it may be my Platysma bands coming back. Also I still have a lot of tightness and discomfort is that normal?
I am s/p midface lift. I am left with ridges under my temples, lateral to my eyes. And what I think are my buccal fat pads are very prominent. I had SMAS; it seems to be pulled mostly laterally. I previously had filler( 4 years ago) over my cheeks, 1/2 vial of Juvederm that varies in size. My face looks almost square-shaped. This was a year ago. Can anything not too invasive be safely done?
IHave some loose skin under my chin , skin quality is ok no crepness, jowls are not too bad, I have been advised by a plastic surgeon to wait a few years as a Deep plane face and neck lift is a big surgery and I will pay a lot of money to get minimal improvement this early. I am 51 and want some improvement in this area is there any other option, I respect what the surgeon advised but he didnt give me much other option he didnt recommend RF or threads but skin boosters and skincare could help.
Hi, I hasa face and neck lift just over a year ago with a highly trained surgeon. I have seen an ENT consultant, a neurologist and had an MRI And barium swollow. Everything is clear that leaves one conclusion I think?! It feels like a tight band from ear to ear, that often feels like Im choking. It horrendous. I kept complaining to my surgeon and he tried Botox in my neck about 6 months ago, but the very next day it felt much tighter and thus still hasnt worn off!? Sorry for typos!
Hello, I would like to know if it is better to have a SMAS facelift sutured or trimmed? I have heard that if it is sutured it may not last very long and fall, but if it is trimmed, it will last longer. Is this true? Is one way better than the other? I know that deep plane lasts longer, but I dont have enough aging to qualify for that. Thank you
