Is it 100% safe to sit 6 weeks after Brazilian butt lift?

Thank you for your question.Yes, typically at 6 weeks it is "safe" to sit after a BBL.  Whatever fat that will take has taken, and shifting is unlikely.  Your buttock may still shrink a little bit moving forward, but this is more likely from residual swelling.If you are still concerned, you can certainly sit on a soft cushion/pillow, but I think this isn't necessary at this point.I recommend contacting your surgeon to see if there are any restrictions at this point, as they know your case better than I do and can provide more personalized recommendations.  Best of luck!

Hello there and thank you for your question. I don't want to sound cynical but it is difficult to guarantee 100% of anything . That being said I think you are safe to sit in a chair at 5 weeks. I recommend my patients do not sit for 3 weeks. Research has shown that this is an adequate  amount of time to wait to promote optimal fat survival.

Each doctor has their own protocol. It is very important that you talk to him about your concerns and goals. I recommend my patients not to sit for more than 30 mins. every two hours, for the first 2 weeks, and always with the help of a boppy pillow. If you have any concerns, I suggest you follow up close with your plastic surgeon.
