After surgery, the body sometimes will make extra scar tissue (collagen). This can be seen more often in young patients like yourself. A steroid such as kenalog and another anti-scar medicine called 5-fluorouracil can be injected to help the area calm down. It is reasonable to ask your surgeon to inject the area. Some patients need a mix of the 40mg/mL and 10mg/mL doses of kenalog. Since the area has gotten thick, I would recommend at least 0.1 mL of 40mg/mL mixed with 0.1mL of 10mg/mL and then add 0.1 mL 5-fluorouracil. Often, it takes a series of injections every 3-4 weeks for at least 5 months. Awhile after you get the series of injections, then it is reasonable to address the thick skin with laser treatments (or dermabrasion though this is used less often nowadays). The skin can also be tightened with laser. Another skin tightening procedure is radiofrequency microneedling (such as Morpheus8 or Profound RF). Hopefully the issue is resolved with the previous treatments, but if not, filler can help the contour of the bridge and can last longer in the nose than it does in other areas (usually 1 year in other areas).

Rhinoplasty is not an operation. It is a general umbrella term for many different operations used to change the shape of the nose.
