This is recommended since it is a vasoconstrictor, and theoretically a decongestant could compromise the blood supply to an operated nasal septum. So good news is that we have had excellent success in weaning people off of topical nasal decongestant sprays with turbinate injections with triamcinolone acetonide. Typically two or three injections at monthly intervals or slightly less, may be curative provided that you continue on with a topical nasal steroid spray and a topical antihistamine spray. Hello. I recommend you to leave the nasal decongestant spray as soon as possible because its use for a long time is addictive. definitely not a condition we recommend.

Decongestant spray can become very habit forming.
I suggest you discuss with your provider.
Most people will have rebound congestion after stopping chronic use
