Why do I have dents and a flat cheek after Deep Plane Facelift? (Photo)

I’m 6 months post op from a deep plane facelift only. I have denting wacross my cheekbone, a huge dimple I didnt have before surgery. The dents appear when I smile. My once heart shaped cheek is now flat and hollow mid cheek. What is going on here? Was the skin improperly separated from the SMAS? SMAS over treated? How can this be fixed? I’m completely devastated and looking for someone who can help give me answers and fix this. What could fix this? Before photo last.

Hello, hope you are well. Endoscopic and deep plane facelifts exist, but the two don't really go together. Sort of like an electric vehicle with an internal combustion engine. Endoscopic lifts can be done safely, but the deep plane facelift is an entirely different procedure. Best, Dr. Tower

Its best to wait a full year then consider revision facelift to improve the scarring around your ears.
