My dog ate part of my retainer. Will this affect my teeth?

Retainers are necessary to keep your teeth in good alignments. Failure to wear retainers will result in your teeth moving!Typically the cost of a retainer is not very expensive, and often very affordable. Insurances typically don't cover the cost of a retainer anyways. I would call your previous dentist which made the retainers, or a new dentist, and have them made immediately before your teeth start moving.Good luck.

Hello,  Thanks for your question. It is impossible to determine if your teeth will move as well as when , which teeth and how much. Let's hope that they don't. Since you have fixed retainers already, the chance of your anterior teeth moving are slim, however without having the facts ,I can only assume that there  has to be a reason why your orthodontist gave you those extra ones.Once you get back home make sure to see your specialist to determine if you need a new set or not.. Braces are a big investment and you don't want to loose all the money. time effort and pain you endure .Best of luck!
