I had lipo on my abdomen 5 weeks ago. The day after the surgery I was 10 lbs heavier and very swollen. I wore a compression garmet for 4 weeks and now during the day. At 5 weeks, I'm the same weight, seem swollen, and am still numb in areas. I'm not seeing much in the way of results, is this normal and at 5 weeks how much of my results should be visible by now?

Yes, liposuction can be performed to reduce the excess tissue and reshape the axillary region. I have also combined this with excision of excess tissue if necessary. Good luck!
Thank you for asking about your liposuction result.I am sorry you are concerned and disappointed. The photo is at a slant so I cannot assess the asymmetry. You are still swollen - it takes 6 months to see the final result. We all have one side that is naturally larger and one side that naturally...
This needs lymphatic massage, drainage daily and tight compression. It will take weeks for it to resolve. A close watch should be placed on this. If it continues to recur then placing a drain may help resolution. Best, Dr. emer.
