What should I do about my uneven flanks? (Photo)

On Aug 27,2015 about 9 weeks post I had lipo to my right and left flank. They have been uneven since the very first day after surgery. I did have a follow up with my Dr. That lasted 1minute and 30sec after driving 4 hours away and waiting 3 hours to see him. He was very busy and didn't have time to talk to me.

This needs lymphatic massage, drainage daily and tight compression.  It will take weeks for it to resolve.  A close watch should be placed on this.  If it continues to recur then placing a drain may help resolution.  Best, Dr. emer.

Your compression garment should be moderately tight, but should not constrict your movement or hinder your breathing. I would recommend talking to your surgeon and see if you can exchange it for a larger size.

 i do a very large number of Smartlipo cases. IF you can easily remove and then replace the ring immediately after surgery, that is best. if for some reason you cannot get it out, then i think the risks are very lowif you leave it in.david berman md
