I had a fat transfer to fix my very asymmetrical breasts at 18 which cost me $5k and barely did anything as the doctor “ hated “ my stomach and only liposuctioned me so my boobs looked the same. I was upset but I went back because I was desperate and really insecure. I got a lift on the bigger one and 2 saline implants in each breast. But it appears that he made my nipple A LOT bigger on my bigger breast. I paid this doctor $10k just for him to leave a scar and a larger nipple that I never had.

Answer: Concerns about outcomes after surgery When patients have asymmetrical breasts and end up with different procedures on each breast they’re still going to be a symmetry and that is often the case including the size of the areyola if you have a lift on one side but not the other. Without showing pictures we can’t even begin to make an assessment on the outcome of a procedure. If you want us to make an assessment on the quality of work or the overall outcome then you should post a before and after pictures. They’re available from the Doctor Who did the surgery if he or she is still in practice. If you want a proper second opinion consultation then schedule one with a local board-certified plastic surgeon. Consultations are best done in person. Again for the next surgeon to do a good assessment he or she will also need to see all the before and after pictures for both previous procedures and if possible a copy of the operative reports. So far it doesn’t sound like anyone took advantage of you even though it may feel like that to you. He went in with a concern and the doctor offered a surgical treatment that would help make the problem better. In the end surgeons are responsible for surgical outcomes and patients are responsible for choosing the surgeon who does the procedure. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
