18, 4'11, over-rotated & too much bridge taken off, what can be done in the revision to help it look better? (Photos)

Question

Not happy the way my nose turned out. I am 18 years old and am a female. I’m 4”11 so I am a small girl. I’m Italian, and my nose had a hump and my tip dripped a little bit. I wanted my doctor just to straighten my nose and make my tip straight but that’s not how it turned out! It looks like to me he took off a little bit too much on the bridge and my tip is over rotated and that’s not what I wanted. I’m not sure if the bridge looks too low. Because of the tip being two up. I have an appointment with him this week to discuss.

Thank you for providing these photos. I would recommend extended spreader grafts to lengthen the nose (if this bothers you) and this can also improve the front view as well. Doing 3D imaging with your surgeon is a tool that is always incredibly useful so you can get a sense of what each change will do to your nose and overall appearance. I recommend scarless/closed rhinoplasty for all rhinoplasty regardless of whether primary or revision rhinoplasty.

I think it's a good idea for you to discuss your concerns with your surgeon. If you are less than 6 months postoperative, you may experience several millimeters of tip drop, just from gravity. Revision rhinoplasty to lower a nasal tip appearance is very difficult, so please take this slowly. If you would be happy having a few millimeters of height added to your bridge for less of a curve, microdroplet Silikon-1000 injections maybe considered depending on your examination. Hello! Thank you for your question. As far as I can see from your photo you have a vey thick skin and bulbous tip. For get rid of this image you need revision rhinoplasty surgery. This way you can gain more elegant, enough projected nose. Best Regards!

Looking at your photos, you may have thicker skin on the tip of your nose. An in person exam would be necessary but often we have to examine the current structure of the nose if a revision rhinoplasty is necessary. Cartilage grafting may be necessary depending on your goals. Good luck !
