How does the nasal bridge feel after nasal bridge augmentation with ear cartilage?

Hello! Thank you for your question. As far as I can understand from your question, you will not even notice your ear scar and absence of your cartilage in your ear. Your ear will have same elasticity as always. You can play contact sport in the future but it is better to ask about it your surgeon. However, it is not possible to make proper evaluation without photos. If you can provide photos from front of your face, from the side of your face and 1 meter away I would be able to make a proper evaluation. Best Regards!

Thank you for your question. Diced cartilage can be effective but it can be done several ways and the details of the technique matter for long term graft survival. The nasal bridge will feel soft eventually yet still solid. Soccer is ok with time and the ear will be soft in the area cartialge is removed but should otherwise behave normally. Doing 3D imaging with your surgeon is a tool that is always incredibly useful so you can get a sense of what each change will do to your nose and overall appearance. I recommend scarless/closed rhinoplasty for all rhinoplasty regardless of whether primary or revision rhinoplasty.

In our experience, if someone has an overreacted bridge, microdroplet Silikon-1000 injections maybe a safe and permanent alternative to further surgery. I believe that diced cartilage grafting may lead to visible irregularities. Hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr Joseph
