10 day post op tummy tuck. Are these symptoms normal?

10 days post op with temperature of 101.4, extreme headaches, rapid heart beat, and chills. I knew something wasn't right so rushed to ER . Blood work and CAT SCAN was performed. No infection.I was admitted and had to remove compression. As soon as get home shower and put compression garment back on symptoms that sent me the to the E.R. return. Is this normal or am I the only person that cant wear compression garment w/o feeling sick.

Thank you for your question. I don’t think the symptoms are related to wearing your garment, it may just be coincidental. If you have a fever and increased heart rate I would favor something more common like an infection. I would discuss this with your surgeon and even perhaps your primary doctor. Good luck.

It would be very unlikely that your  symptoms are due to wearing the compression garment. I hope you have remained in close contact with your PS and you may want to be seen by your primary care Doctor also. If you remain ill, consider a more detailed evaluation which may also include a chest X-ray, urinalysis, DVT evaluation, etc. I also suggest frequent ambulation and deep breathing exercises with the use of an incentive spirometer to fully expand all lobes of your lungs.

I do not believe that your temp is due to the compression garment.I have never seen this in 40 years.I would favor say a urinary tract infection.
