I know that compression after surgery is important to reduce swelling, but I've seen a wide range of opinions of when and how it should be done. I've heard of some who send the patient home in a binder, some advise no compression the first night, and I saw one review where the doctor had her go a week before wearing a compression garment. What is your method and why? What are the benefits?
