I have very small & thin lips, something that I've been insecure about my whole life. I've decided to get lip fillers however I'm nervous of getting the dreaded 'duck lips', I want something that looks natural. Should I get the 0.5ml or 1ml filler? Also, are fillers are good idea given how tiny my lips are and large frame of face/nose?
Answer: Should I get 0.5cc or 1 ml? Appropriately injected at the right amount in the right place you can get excellent results. The key here is finding a good injector. Do your homework and find a good injector. You will be pleased with the results. You need at least 1 cc if not more.

Answer: Start with 0.5ml to prevent overfilling & migration I would recommend starting with 0.5mls of filler. It is true if you do have small lips and too much product is placed in them they can become overfilled and the product may migrate outside the lip border. In your case your lips have a beautiful shape and even though a little small I would recommend slowly building them up. This creates two positive effects. It lets you see how lip filler works for you and the results you like. It also lets the filler naturally integrate into the lip tissue and slowly get bigger. This is the best way to build larger lips. Build the product in slowly every 4-6 weeks until you get to the size you are happy with. A good thing to keep in mind is immediately after having your lips injected their will be some swelling. If you prefer the shape of your lips at this stage more than 2-3 days post filler it is a good sign you need to come back and have a top up.

Answer: Small lips Hey there thanks for the question! I really dont think you'll notice too much with 0.5ml of filler, most places would charge you the same for either a half or full ml. Might as well get the full amount - just remember you'll swell a but and then it will go down after a week or two.

Answer: How much lip filler is required Based on your picture, I would start with 1ml total for your lips, although once things have settled, you may desire more. While the first 2-3 days can be swollen, even "duck lips" looking in some cases, it then settles down nicely and should give you duration of about 5-9 months. More importantly is to go with someone you trust, who is highly skilled and experienced with cosmetic injectables such as a dermatologist to optimize natural results and safety.

Answer: Lip augmentation Hi, thanks for the question. Based on the photos, it definitely looks like you would be a candidate for 1ml, if not more. I think you would have really beautiful results with 1 full syringe. And if you wanted more, you could always add another 1ml later on. Best of luck!
