Do hormones have relation to lip fillers?
Answer: Lip Augmentation Options Vernayavera. Birth control of any form has no affect on lip fillers. Fillers in the lip don’t last as long as in other places on the face because the lips are constantly moving and in general, usually dissolves faster. Another option would be fat transfer to the lips as studies indicate that as much as 50% of fat transferred to the lips remains permanently. Come see me or another board-certified plastic surgeon in the area to explore the best options for you. Good luck.

Answer: Lip Augmentation Results Good question! No, hormones or plan B will not affect your lip filler. Lips are mobile and because of normal movement (eating, pursing your lips, kissing, whistling, drinking through a straw, etc. ) the filler tends to dissolve and absorb faster than in some other facial zones. Still I prefer to repeat treatment rather than have my patients look distorted or unnatural. You could certainly discuss this with your physician. For facial fillers, please have an in-person consultation with only a board-certified, fellowship trained MD with extensive facial plastic surgical experience. Avoid nurses, non-MDs, "deals" and "specials" and you should reduce the chance for any problems or complications. Good luck! Damon B. Chandler, MD Harvard-Penn Trained Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Hormones and fillers It's probably not taking the pill that makes a filler dissolve faster. Some people simply metabolize fillers very, very quickly. In a person who metabolizes Juvederm very quickly I would use something like Restylane the next time to avoid a similar situation. Good luck from New York City
