Good question! No, hormones or plan B will not affect your lip filler. Lips are mobile and because of normal movement (eating, pursing your lips, kissing, whistling, drinking through a straw, etc. ) the filler tends to dissolve and absorb faster than in some other facial zones. Still I prefer to repeat treatment rather than have my patients look distorted or unnatural. You could certainly discuss this with your physician. For facial fillers, please have an in-person consultation with only a board-certified, fellowship trained MD with extensive facial plastic surgical experience. Avoid nurses, non-MDs, "deals" and "specials" and you should reduce the chance for any problems or complications. Good luck! Damon B. Chandler, MD Harvard-Penn Trained Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon
