I jut got lip fillers yesterday 1/17/18. I am a little concerned because my lip is literally swollen and bruised bad I am beyond mad that I have to walk around like this and I paid $595 it’s not painful it jut feels like I have a big grape on my lip and it’s embarrassing. How long will I be walking around with my lip like this?

Answer: Bruising and swelling after lip filler Thankyou for your question.Unfortunately you have bruised a lot and this makes the swelling worse.keep icing the lip as this helps. Lips are very vascular and can as you aware bruise badly. This is why i tell my patients to plan ahead just in case .It will settle but it will take time.Good luck

Answer: Swellin/bruising after lip augmentation although any injection can cause swelling and bruising a correctly injected lip, using the proper product, proper technique and proper amount should result in hardly any bruising. Swelling is an individual thing. I have seen extreme swelling and hardly any swelling. Not predictable. The swelling and bruising will go away. once that happens have the injector check the symmetry of the lips, look for high points and "bumps". You didnt state how much filler and which filler was used-important to know. Good luck
