Can a rhinoplasty implant change the shape of your eye? (photos)

Question

Recently had a rhinoplasty with a 1.5mm implant, and my eye shape looks different. The inner corners seem a bit more longer or stretched. Will it return to normal, or will it stay like this? If it does stay like this and I remove the implant, will it then return to normal.

Hello yes of course you can get rid of silicone and have a second surgery. Therefore your nose will not be the same as a natural one because you will have a second surgery

Yes, a dorsally placed implant can pul up the skin surrounding the eyes of the medial canthal area. If you are very recently postoperative, this can also be from postoperative swelling which may take 18 months in the case of a foreign body (or longer). I would highly recommend seeing a board eligible or board certified plastic surgeon for a physical exam and accurate analysis with safe recommendations for potential surgical options. Best of luck!

If an implant was used to raise your bridge, it does stretch the surrounding skin and can cause the appearance you are seeing. Swelling can also cause this early on. It is unlikely that this will return to normal if you leave the implant in. Taking it out may help.

It looks like the implants widened your nasal bridge. You can either live with it, have a revision, or just have the implant removed.
