Looking to become a surrogate. Assuming everything goes well, how soon after birth can I get a mommy makeover?

Thank you for your question. Pregnancy and hormones have a strong implant on the woman’s body. I would recommend four to six months before having a mommy makeover you want to give your body time to bounce back to is pre pregnancy state. This includes getting your weight back to your desired number and size. You also want to give your breast time to heal after your milk production stops and get your breast back to their original size and shape. It is important to be close your goal weight and as close to your norm as possible to achieve optimal results.

Recommend between three and six months for recovery after an non-eventful vaginal or C-section delivery to return to a stable pre-pregnancy weight. Hi. You should wait at least six months following childbirth before undergoing a mommy makeover if you aren’t breastfeeding. This timeline is the same regardless of the delivery method, and it is necessary in order to give your body time to heal from the rigors of pregnancy and childbirth.

Keep in mind that this is the minimum time you should wait. If you are breastfeeding at all, you should wait at least six months from the time you stop breastfeeding. In addition, you will want to spend some time on your own working out to get your body back in shape before undergoing a mommy makeover. You will achieve the best results if you are already at your ideal body weight and able to maintain this weight for a prolonged period of time.

It is recommended that you get as close to your goal weight as possible before having a mommy makeover. In most cases it is recommended that you wait 6 months minimum if you are not breastfeeding. you should be fully recovered from pregnancy and delivery before you consider cosmetic procedure. Most plastic surgeons will recommend you to wait at least 6 months but every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.

Assuming you will not breastfeed, you can be a candidate for plastic surgery, six months after giving birth, when your hormones have normalized.
l recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals and anything you need to know.

I would suggest a minium of 6-9 months after giving birth as there will be many hormonal changes which continue for months after delivery. Longer if you plan to breastfeed.
In addition you would want your tummy tissue to be fully recovered before having surgery.
