Hello, I am a 39yo white female experiencing fatty/saggy chin and impending jowls. I've considered lipo but think my skin is too lax, so I'm not sure it could be done well without a lift. Unfortunately, $16k is not in my budget. Could a chin implant buy some time? What procedure(s) could I do that would give me the best and most lasting bang for my buck? I want a drastic change. How could I break this down and "do a little at a time" over several years and still look ok?
Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Consider your options for treating sagging neck skin Thank you for your question and photo. You may benefit from a combination approach to add volume to your chin and reduce the appearance of sagging neck skin. Facial liposuction can remove excess fat from the neck and jowls and can be combined with a chin implant for a more sculpted, contoured appearance. You may also consider RF microneedling treatments to increase your body’s collagen production, restore elasticity, and reduce the appearance of jowls and sagging skin. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon. They will be able to discuss your concern with you, answer any questions you have, and help you decide on the best course of action.

Answer: Consider more options So there are a few options. For starters, many people combine buccal fat removal with jawline liposculpting to help improve jowling. This is all done though the mouth and requires no external incisions. Excess lower cheek fat (buccal) is removed, which takes some weight off the jowl area and jawline liposculpting helps to further reduce the extra fat/tissue to create a more defined jawline. Depending if there is any fat under your chin (it may just be skin) submental liposuction is also an option to tighten the area. A thread lift is used to reduce sagging, tighten and contour the neck. Its is less invasive and less expensive than a full neck lift, although you would get best results with a full lift. $16k is very high and I would consider doing some more research. We would be happy to set up a consultation (in person or virtual) to discuss some more reasonable fees.

Answer: Neck lift Considering neck condition visible on this image, you seem to be a candidate for neck lift. Only on the basis of in person evaluation, one experienced, board certified plastic surgeon with expirience in this surgery, can decide whether anterior neck lift or more extensive posterior neck lift (with skin excision) may be better procedure for your condition. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Answer: Saggy neck A chin implant may be able to improve the definition of your chin and jawline, but it may not be sufficient on its own if you have significant sagging skin in the area. Other options to consider may include a neck lift, which can tighten the skin and muscles in the neck and jawline, or a lower facelift, which can address sagging skin and jowls in the lower face. If cost is a concern, you may want to consider breaking down the procedures into smaller steps over several years. For example, you may start with a non-surgical treatment such as dermal fillers or Botox to add volume to the chin and jawline and improve the appearance of wrinkles or lines in the area. From there, you could consider a chin implant or other surgical procedure as your budget allows. It's important to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options and determine the best course of treatment for your individual needs and goals. They can provide guidance on which procedures may be most effective for you, as well as advise you on the best way to approach treatment to achieve the desired results while staying within your budget.
