Why no change 6 months post 3 cool sculpt mini sessions? (Photos)

Based on the pictures that you have shared, it does appear that you have benefited from some fat reduction following your coolsculpting treatment, however you do have some skin laxity that could be preventing you from seeing the results you had hoped for.  You could seek out the advice of another experienced coolsculpting specialist who can palpate the area to assess if skin laxity is now the remaining issue.  In that case, you may want to seek an alternative treatment such as Fractora or an neck lift to achieve a more contoured appearance.Best of luck,Dr. Philip Solomon, Solomon Facial Plastic

Very sorry to hear about your experience. Coolsculpting is excellent way to get rid of the double chin. The honest opinion will be to get another evaluation and see if its fat or laxity in skin in the chin area. Coolsculpting will work if there is fat but not if there is laxity. In addition to that sometimes 20% fat loss is not that obvious in the pics and some clients need more than one treatment to see the effect. We accommodate those rare instances at our clinic to add another session and see if that's the case. 

Liposuction is, no question, a more "definitive" approach to fat reduction. Non-invasive options, generally, aren't really "cheaper" (as you've found.) However, they are wonderful options for those who DON'T want invasive (scars, etc.) I realize (and understand) your disappointment, after spending so much money. But, you might talk to a plastic surgeon, to consider your options, from this point.

From the pictures provided, there is no question that you got improvement from CS. The fat has been removed and now you have some loose tissue it looks like. There are a few options for this:-neck lift (surgery)-non-invasive energy based devices (ulthera, endy-med 3 deep, etc); multiple treatments- microneedling (multiple treatments)-kybella (spot for fat, secondary benefit tightening)- judicious use of botox and/or fillers to the lower face and parts of neck- nova threads or a similar threadlift based procedure

I'm sorry for your disappointment. CoolSculpting has been shown to be clinically effective in reducing chin fat. This is why it was approved by the FDA for this purpose. Having said that, patients do experience varied results. We usually do our chin procedures in combination with various forms of skin tightening. It is hard to diagnose  from your pictures exactly what might be best for you, but I would look for a complete body center which has several forms of treatment and get a second opinion. It is difficult to tell from the angle of your pictures what is the exact anatomy of your neck. I do tell patients that CoolSculpting final results can take up to 4 months so I would wait until you are 4 months from your final treatment session before making a final assessment. That being said, I would suggest at that point if you are still unhappy, it would be good to see a cosmetic physician skilled in assessing neck anatomy to determine if you still have residual fat, although the results could also be secondary to skin laxity or even an angulated neck shape which will never look like the perfect shaped neck that is frequently shown in after photos. I frequently see patients for a 2nd opinion and unfortunately the neck shape was not assessed properly in the beginning so they were not properly warned about reasonable expectations on results for their neck shape. I am unable to tell from your photos is this is the problem in your case, but a skilled physican will be able to palpate your neck shape and let you know what are the honest expectations for you.  Best wishes,  Mary Beth Mudd

Hi Dear sorry about disappointment.
We have an instrument that we can check fat thickness. We do that before and after procedure. Also we check by examination that is true fat left behind or skin laxity. Skin laxity can be treated with surgery or new machine called Ultherapy might help you to tight the skin and the muscle under neat.
Also you need to give 3 months post treatment to see final result. Most my patients are happy and getting good result. But most of the time they do one procedure and wait couple of months and we reassess fat thickness before we do another treatment.
