Is there downtime/ a recovery process for a non surgical rhinoplasty? For example, lots of swelling, not being able to sleep a certain way, not being able To wear glasses, etc? Also, if I wanted a n actual rhinoplasty in the future, would that be possible if I had gotten a non surgical nose job in the past? I know non surgical nose jobs are not permanent that’s why I’m curious if it would effect ability to get rhinoplasty in the future. Thanks!!
Answer: Non-surgical Rhinoplasty & a Word of Caution Great questions! The recovery process and downtime for non-surgical rhinoplasty is so minimal, and the satisfaction is instantaneous. There is minimal swelling in this area that resolves in several days. You can sleep however you want. You can resume normal activities, although the only restriction, which is more of a recommendation, is to avoid going to the gym for 24-48 hours just to minimize swelling and bruising. You’d be able to wear glasses. You would also be able to get a surgical rhinoplasty in the future. If you decide to move forward with non-surgical rhinoplasty, I strongly urge you to be diligent in choosing an experienced and board-certified medical provider. This area of the face is highly vascularized which means that an inexperienced or cavalier injection can cause serious complications. It’s important that the experienced injector you choose is an expert with working in this area: they must know the anatomy like the back of their hand.

Answer: Non Surgical Nosejob Recovery-- with Fillers (voluma, restylane, juvederm) You may have some swelling, which can last 1-2 weeks. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to go over your desired results. Facial fillers (voluma, restylane, juvederm) can be used to improve the symmetry of the nose. However, surgery would be needed to improve the nostrils or overall shape. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: There is typically no downtime after permanent nonsurgical rhinoplastic treatments. Without photos, it is not feasible to determine your candidacy for either nonsurgical rhinoplasty, or rhinoplasty surgery. We have performed uneventful rhinoplasty surgery on patients who had microdroplet Silikon-1000 nasal injections first. Wishing you well. Dr Joseph

Answer: Nonsurgical Rhinoplasty A nonsurgical rhinoplasty has the same down time as any filler treatment. It is recommended that patients not exercise or consume alcohol till the next day, but makeup can be applied just two hours after the surgery. There should be minimal to no bruising if this procedure is done by an experienced, expert plastic surgeon. After the procedure patients should refrain from excessively touching their nose, and glasses can be worn normally the next day. If a patient wishes to get a surgical rhinoplasty in the future, a nonsurgical rhinoplasty would not prevent that as fillers last typically one year. Please consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine if you are a good candidate for this procedure.

Answer: Non Surgical Nose Refinement Good Afternoon and thank you for your question. With any injectable procedure side effects always include the risk of bruising and swelling. There are several ways to reduce your chances of bruising/swelling prior to injections such as avoiding any anti-inflammatory medications (Advil, Motrin) and specific vitamins/supplements such as Omega 3, Garlic, Gingko Biloba, and St. John’s Wort. Getting your daily dose of Vitamin K (fresh spinach, broccoli, and kale) and Bromide (pineapple) is also an excellent way to reduce your chances of bruising. Additionally, the usage of a micro-cannula needle will aid in reducing your chances of bruising. I highly recommend for my patients to use Arnica pills as well. It’s important to remember that even with following all of these instructions there still is a chance of bruising/swelling which may last up to 2 weeks. Best of luck to you.
