Here are some photos of my nose, which is quite long. I know that I can’t make it any shorter without a full rhinoplasty, which I’m not ready to do at this point. I’m just wondering if anything can be done to make it slightly less “aggressive” with just fillers and Botox. I especially dislike the way that it slopes downward when I smile. Can that be fixed by injecting Botox near the nostrils? Would adding volume anywhere near the top potentially help in my case?
Answer: Botox and fillers for non surgical rhinoplasty You have asked some excellent questions and appear to understand the potential uses and limitations of Botox and fillers in non surgical rhinoplasty. My suggestion would be to consult with an experienced rhinoplasty surgeon and injector. During your consultation you should request computer imaging in order to see what can be achieved with your nose with filler. Botox is a little more difficult to demonstrate but a little injected at the bottom between the two foot plates will help weaken the depressor septi muscle and decrease some of the dip when you smile and also help elevate the tip.

Answer: Some people are better candidates for rhinoplasty surgery. If you would be content camouflaging your small nasal profile bump, then you could certainly consider a nonsurgical nose treatment. On front view, you appear to have a wide and droopy nasal tip appearance. I do not believe that Botox would be helpful for this condition. Additionally, you have a long nasal appearance and a tension lip issue. Sometimes computer imaging is helpful for showing somebody the difference between a nonsurgical approach and a surgical approach. I hope this is helpful, and I wish you were moving forward. Sincerely, Dr. Joseph

Answer: Nonsurgical Nose Jobs Can Address Nasal Bridge Bumps, Droopy Tips & Flaring Nostrils I have been performing nonsurgical nose jobs for well over fifteen years for treating everything from nasal bridge bumps and humps or depressions ("saddle" noses), to downturned, droopy nasal tips to nasal tip clefts. In the early days, nonsurgical rhinoplasty using fillers was mostly used to camouflage and thereby straighten bumpy or hooked nasal bridges. We soon discovered, however, that in so doing, we often also secondarily achieved (without even directly injecting there) a slight lift to a downturned tip and even occasionally some tapering of the nose itself. (Whereas once, we exclusively injected Radiesse (then called Radiance) for this purpose, we have since added other volumizing fillers, such as Voluma XC and Restylane Lyft, both of which I use in my Manhattan office and Hyalbell Deep, which I use in my Israel satellite facility, where a far greater number of regulatory agency approved fillers are available. Additional benefit may be achieved in certain select cases, via the use of Botox, for nostrils that flare with smiling or for additionally elevating the nasal tip. Make sure that you consult with a board certified aesthetic physician with experience and expertise in nonsurgical nose jobs. If you wish, normal saline injections, which can yield an effect that lasts about five minutes, may be used to give you a real world idea of what the result of actual treatment might look like. Likewise, the use of dilute local anesthetic may be used to approximate the effects of Botox. Be sure to ask to see his/her personal befores and afters of noses treated in this fashion. Best of luck.

Answer: Non Surgical Nosejob Candidate-- with Fillers (voluma, restylane, juvederm), Botox/Xeomin/Dysport I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to go over your desired results. Facial fillers (voluma, restylane, juvederm) along with Botox can be used to improve the symmetry of the nose and lift the tip. Surgery would be needed to improve nostrils or overall shape. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
