Does a tummy tuck change your sex life?

I had a friend who stated her husband was unsatisfied in bed after she had a tummy tuck because the feeling for him wasn’t the same. The vagina went from cushy and soft, to bony and hard. Is these results common? Is there something we can do post op to prevent this issue?

Thank you for sharing your question.  A tummy tuck does not impact the vagina and should not have any impact on the sexual satisfaction of the patient or partner.  Hope this helps.

According to a pilot study done in 2011 at the São Paulo School of Medicine, the vulva is pulled up a bit higher during a TT which make the clitoris more exposed. Your sex life should improve. The vagina is not changed.

A tummy tuck does not impact the vagina, so it would not change the sensation during sex.  In contrast, having a tummy tuck may help patients feel more confident in their bodies and improve their intimate life!

A tummy tuck does alter the pubic area because it lifts and removes the loose skin and excess fat. Could it affect ones sexual life. I guess but this the first I ever heard of a complaint.
