How Much Does Submental Liposuction Cost?

Question

Just a general idea. I know places like Ca, Fl will generally cost more. But what is a good ballpark number.

David Hansen, MD · Answer

Liposuction of the jawline/submentum does great and is easy to under go for roughly $2500 on special. It is done under local anesthesia and you can drive yourself home and back to work in 1 day with almost no bruising at all. Sincerely,David Hansen,MD

Kenneth Hughes, MD · Answer

I think that $2000 to $3000 is reasonable for most anatomical variants. Find a plastic surgeon with ELITE credentials who performs hundreds of liposuction procedures each year. Then look at the plastic surgeon's website before and after photo galleries to get a sense of who can deliver the results.

Usually the cost is between $2500 and $3500 in Las Vegas. It is less under local anesthesia and more under general anesthesia. This cost should include everything. This is great procedure and recovery is quick. Good luck, Best regards, Dr. Lane F. Smith

There are regional variations in the cost of plastic surgery but in Massachusetts the cost of this is probably between $2000 and $3000.

M. Dean Vistnes, MD · Answer

Costs for this procedure will vary depending on the geographic region and the surgeon. In the California Bay Area, when this procedure is done by an experienced board certified plastic surgeon, expect to pay $2500 -$3500 for the surgical fee and about $1200 for the operating room facility. If you see someone for this procedure make sure they evaluate the entire aesthetic unit which would include the jawline, not just under the chin. Good luck!

Jennifer Reichel, MD · Answer

The cost of liposuction varies from area to area and also on the experience and expertise of the doctor. For jawline/chin/neck (submental) liposuction, the cost in Seattle is between $3500 and $4500. It is really important to get a consult with at least two different liposuction surgeons. Make sure they are experienced, have a good team that they work with, and can show you before and after images. Don't just go for the least expensive (or the most for that matter).
