Why is my skin so oily now? I've never had rough skin or blackheads on my nose either. Why is this?

It is pretty common that at one week after rhinoplasty that you have oily skin. This is usually due to having a nasal splint and also part of the healing process.

You have experienced what most patients see after nasal surgery.  Once the splint is taken off, only then do you have a chance to wash the nose and surrounding skin adequately.  Facial surgery can temporarily change the oil producing glands of the skin to either be more or less active.
