Rhinoplasty but deviated septum - can I do rhinoplasty without correcting caudal nasal septum? (Photos)

Thank you for your question. But been in practice for over 30 years, and rhinoplasty surgery is a large portion of my practice. You are an excellent candidate for rhinoplasty. You have obviously evaluated your nose quite aggressively. You do have a hanging columella and a deviation of the caudal septum, therefore, I would definitely want to perform a caudal septal excision. In your case, shortening your nose by small amount would actually be a good idea. I think you should evaluate The gallery's of your prospective surgeons and find the one who you resonate with their art form and let them do their job. Best wishes to you.

Why would you not correct the caudal septum? It is affecting the appearance of the nose and your breathing. You may not need a strut graft. Is your surgeon a facial plastic surgeon? If so, they will be very comfortable addressing the septum. You can reduce the bump and narrow the nose without touching the septum, but again, why?
And finally, anesthesia method is not relevant. A good doctor can do this with any of the methods.

Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photographs, you are a great candidate for rhinoplasty. Maneuvers for your surgery would include dorsal hump reduction, tip refinement, nasal tip deprojection, tip elevation, among other maneuvers. You should absolutely have the deviated caudal septum corrected at the same time. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.
