Hard, boxy tip 2 years post-op (photo)

Question

I hade my rhinoplasty in turkey mars 2023 and this is how my tip is looking in November 2024. Its boxy, like Bella Hadids nose, witch i did not ask for. The tip is also still very hard. I feel like I've been botched. Will the box tip and hardensss go away or will I need revision surgery ? can anyone explain why this is happening

Starting your photos, you are likely seeing cartilage in your nasal tip, after your rhinoplasty surgery. If you liked how your nose looked when your tip was more swollen, depending on your examination, a permanent non-surgical nose job may be considered for adding volume to your nasal tip to camouflage these visible edges of cartilage. most likely they put a graft in there that is what you are feeling as "very hard", although one can't tell for sure without the op notes. If it is due to a graft being present, it will never soften 100% unless the graft is removed, although you should also know that naturally much of what is done during rhinoplasty to reinforce tips/etc. will cause the nose framework to be harder. I doubt that the boxiness will go away because I think that is the shsape that they deliberately gave you. The hardness may soften as swelling goes down but not significantly.

Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photographs, you are a good candidate for a revision rhinoplasty. Maneuvers for your surgery would include nasal tip drprojection with placement of a mastoid fascia tip graft. This will help to soften your tip and give a more natural look. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.
