Can I use AHAs and Differin (adapalene) after intradermal Botox?

Question

Hi, I had intradermal botox (micro botox) on my entire face done yesterday, for my oily and sometimes sweaty face. Wondering if I am ok to use my aha-face wash and differin gel (adapalene) now after just one day or if I should wait longer? Read that it's alright with normal Botox since that affecets muscles, but thought it might be different when it's intradermal Botox?

It is recommended to wait at least 24 hours after receiving Botox to apply makeup or sunscreen. Resuming other topical medications should be fine after 24 hours as well.

If you had Botox yesterday, it is ok to start your topical acne meds.  Always seek treatment from a qualified physician.

i think it would be best to wait 48 hours after having this done prior to continuing your routine

You should be fine to start using your acne medicine. The topical products primarily affect the top layers of the skin, and Botox is placed deeper. Lana Long,  MD
