I tried Botox to slim my nose but it didn't work... why?

Question

I injected 4 units of botox near my "bunny lines" and 4 units near my tip to slim my nose (I'm not sure what the medical terms are for those areas) but it did nothing to slim my nose. I've seen videos on social media about how it can slim your nose and refine your tip, but it did not work for me. I then tried Dysport 2 weeks later in the same areas but nothing happened. Am I just not a candidate for it or is it a fad botox trend?

It's difficult to know why your treatment didn't work.  It could be the expertise of the injector.  It could be that there was a misunderstanding what the treatment could do.  It could be the product itself.  I encourage you to visit with an expert injector to discuss your concerns.

Social media is a way for anyone to market something that they want to sell you. They may not be qualified in any way to do what they are selling, but social media doesn't care. Botox itself will not slim your nose - it doesn't even make sense. Botox relaxes muscles. So injecting it in a few spots around the nose where muscle pulls on it can keep the nose from being pulled down or out wide a bit, that's it. Get your plastic surgery advice for from respectable doctors.
