Dear mojo2171,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a TT surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively.At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Although I understand your concerns, I think that it is important to know that (at this stage) you are not looking at the final outcome of the procedure performed.  It is very likely that the results of surgery will improve over the course of the next several months;  I ask patients to evaluate the outcome of tummy tuck surgery one year after it was performed. At that point, if you continue to have the same concerns, revisionary surgery including additional skin excision plus/minus liposuction surgery may be indicated. Best wishes for an outcome that you will be pleased with longer-term.

Hi mojo2171,Thank you for your questions and pictures. I recommend waiting until you are fully healed since you are still swollen. You should definitely follow up with the surgeon who preformed your tummy tuck and discuss your concerns. A revision may be needed if you still are not happy with your results.Best of luck!

First of all, congratulations on your tummy tuck, mojo2171!
It’s only been five weeks since your tummy tuck, which means that swelling has not yet completely died down and is obscuring your results. I suggest you wait for about three months to see if there’s any improvement. In fact, swelling can last even for six months up to a year.
If after six months you don’t notice any improvement, you can consult a reputable and board-certified plastic surgeon and inquire about the possibility of revision surgery.
