Neck lift or lipo? (Photo)

I would recommend a deep plane face/neck lift with superficial fat liposuction. This would best address the deep structures below the platysma muscle in the neck (these cannot be liposuctioned). The superficial liposuction of the fat immediately below the skin needs to be very conservative as this fat is critical to having smooth, shiny and normal looking skin. You need to find an American Board of Plastic Surgery certified surgeon; ideally, this surgeon has also completed an aesthetic fellowship accredited by the Aesthetic Society.

The profile view with the green top does not show much fatty tissue under the neck skin. The volume instead appears to be situated deep to the platysma muscles, which is not influenced by liposuction. My impression is that liposuction alone is more likely to create problems rather than provide a good improvement.

I concur with the opinion forwarded to you that a deep plane neck lift would be the better solution. This approach allows for addressing the deeper structures and improving the contour of the neck effectively.

Additionally, buccal fat reduction can help decrease the volume just above the jawline, particularly in the jowl region. While this is more a matter of personal preference, in your situation it could contribute further to enhancing the definition of the jawline.

Good day! You are definitely a candidate for neck liposuction with a skin tightening device added tot he procedure. Renuvion is my favorite but there are several good options out there. Buccal fat pad removal is nice for contouring but I can't tell by your photos if you are a good candidate for that (front view is best). A deep neck lift is much more invasive with longer recovery but a good option also. Hope that helps!

Based on your photos you would either need a deep neck lift or a lower face and neck lift, both of which include neck liposuction but do a lot more. Neck liposuction alone will help a small amount but will not give you the best result.

The main question to answer is how aggressive you want to get. Neck liposuction is much easier to go through under a local anesthetic, the recovery is quicker, and the cost is lower. You will get some improvement though. A neck lift will definitely give you a better result long term because the platysmal bands can be tightened and some extra skin removed while taking out fat at the same time. The recovery is longer and the cost is higher. Be sure to see a facial specialist for consultation.

Hello, hope you are well. Thank you for your photos and question. I agree that a deep neck lift would be the most effective way to manage the excess fullness of your neck (under the chin). Liposuction does not allow for the deeper, subplatysmal deposits of the fat in the neck to be removed. I'm sure you know that buccal fat removal is for facial slimming and won't impact your neck contour.

There is no doubt that neck liposuction would create visible improvement in experienced hands. However, my choice would be neck lift which allows shaping of both deep and superficial fat compartments as well as rearrangement of platysma muscle (platysmoplasty). It is always good to check website before and after photos. Good luck.

After reviewing your photos, in my opinion you would most likely benefit from a deep plane neck lift with fat grafting to the face and chin as well as possible buccal fat pad removal for facial balancing. This, combined with a skin tightening device such as Renuvion would improve your chin/ neck angle significantly.
