Neck lift or lipo? (Photo)

I would recommend a deep plane face/neck lift with superficial fat liposuction. This would best address the deep structures below the platysma muscle in the neck (these cannot be liposuctioned). The superficial liposuction of the fat immediately below the skin needs to be very conservative as this fat is critical to having smooth, shiny and normal looking skin. You need to find an American Board of Plastic Surgery certified surgeon; ideally, this surgeon has also completed an aesthetic fellowship accredited by the Aesthetic Society.

The profile view with the green top does not show much fatty tissue under the neck skin. The volume instead appears to be situated deep to the platysma muscles, which is not influenced by liposuction. My impression is that liposuction alone is more likely to create problems rather than provide a good improvement.

I concur with the opinion forwarded to you that a deep plane neck lift would be the better solution. This approach allows for addressing the deeper structures and improving the contour of the neck effectively.

Additionally, buccal fat reduction can help decrease the volume just above the jawline, particularly in the jowl region. While this is more a matter of personal preference, in your situation it could contribute further to enhancing the definition of the jawline.

I think when choosing a surgoen, it is important that both sides are on the same page, result wise and expectation wise. I think you found your yours !
