its three weeks since i had neck lipo. i have shooting pains and tightness in the area plus swelling in the incision area. if this is normal, what can i do in the meantime to alleviate discomfort.

Answer: Unusual pain after neck liposuction The recovery after chin and neck liposuction is typically not that difficult. almost universally things come back to normal in regards to both discomfort and tightness. you can try gentle massage to see if that helps but please check with your plastic surgeon to see what he or she recommends. Answer: Neck pain after liposuction Neck pain and stiffness are rare after liposuction of the neck. Topifoam or Epifoam under a compressive neck garment is very helpful. A Medrol (steroid) dose pack is beneficial after any head and neck surgery. Please check with your surgeon to make sure there is not a hematoma or other problem. Damage to the facial nerve and great auricular nerve can happen. Best wishes
