Is it possible to lose 4-6 inches in my waist with only lipo? (Photo)

Question

I am almost 35yy. Have had 5 full to term pregnancies. All large babies (smallest was 8 pounds all the way to 9 1/2 pounds. Last one was a c-section. I have already applied for my discover it cc. And Alphaeon CC. Now I am searching for my PS/Dr. I am in California. Don't like the idea of traveling over 4 hours. I'm 5'4" about 175 pounds. The smallest part of my waist is 35 inches. Am looking to shrink to about 30 inches after healing from procedure. Is this realistic? Wish pics included

The aesthetic result should be good considering you have very good skin quality, no overhang, and no stretch marks.  I would focus on the final shape versus number of inches lost which is very hard to predict.

You want to go to a doc who really is thorough when doing liposuction. 3 inches are probably more realistic in your case .

Although
you can expect to see some improvement in waistline inches after liposuction,
it's important to be realistic about your expectations. Lipo works best to slim
down isolated pockets of fat that diet and exercise haven't been able to
resolve, so first focus on reaching your target weight if you haven't already.
Secondly, although your photos don't show visibly loose skin, after five
pregnancies, it's certainly possible that there's some skin laxity in your abdominal
area that could require a different procedure to treat, like a tummy tuck. Be
sure to look for a board certified plastic surgeon with extensive body
contouring experience for the best possible outcome.

If you've delivered 5 large babies, there is a good chance that your lower abdominal wall has some degree of laxity. It is difficult to judge based on the photos you have supplied and it is best determined with a physical exam during your consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon.If you have abdominal wall laxity, a tummy tuck will give you a better result. Liposuction cannot adequately address abdominal wall laxity. A liposuction can reduce the fat underneath the skin but it does not allow tightening of the abdominal wall.

Certainly liposuction could make a noticeable difference in your abdomen and waist.  I counsel patients that it's like taking the air out of a tire.  You have to find the right balance between removing the fat without causing the skin to sag.  Based on your pictures and the fact that you have had 5 full term pregnancies, you likely have diastasis recti (separation of your "ab" muscles) which can contribute to a wider waist.  The only way to address this would be with a tummy tuck.  As always, please seek out a plastic surgeon board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons.Best of luck.

Thank you for your inquiry.Your wish pictures are unfortunately not realistic goals certainly not from just liposuction. The procedures needed to get the closest to those pictures would most likely be a full abdominoplasty with aggressive liposuction and a Brazilian butt lift. You appear to have some skin laxity and muscle separation from previous pregnancies.These will not be treated from liposuction and as such liposuction is limited in what it can deliver. I would not expect liposuction to give me any significant introduction but could potentially give a slight improvement in definition.  Without an abdominoplasty your abdomen will still bulge. My practice is almost exclusively devoted to body contouring.
